This wonderful illustration intertwines the deep passion for literature and mysticism that characterizes both universes, bringing together their respective iconic protagonists on the same plane to celebrate the charm of well-constructed fantasy.
Two iconic couples united by wisdom and mystery
The new promotional art gives us a beautiful picture where we can see Myne and the strict but protective Ferdinand (representing the literary side of Ascendance of a Bookworm) sharing space and interacting in a very natural way with the smiling girl Coconut and his wise teacher Qifrey (the main faces of Witch Hat Atelier).
The harmony between both worlds is total: while Myne's universe moves through the preservation of knowledge and the creation of books in a medieval world, Coco's story immerses us in the strict and ingenious rules of a magic that is drawn with ink on paper. What is Witch Hat Atelier about?
For those who have not yet been bewitched by this fantastic proposal, the story places us in a world where magic is a real but extremely restricted art, since only witches and wizards by birth are allowed to cast spells, forcing them to work in absolute secrecy to prevent ordinary humans from discovering their methods.
In this environment we meet Coconuta small and humble girl who spends her days helping with the daily chores of her home while daydreaming about the remote possibility of becoming a witch. Their monotonous routine changes completely when their village receives a visit from a mysterious young wizard named Qifrey.
By spying on him during an oversight, Coco accidentally discovers the “absolute secret” behind the spells. After a serious incident that changes her life forever, Qifrey decides to take Coco under her wing as her new apprentice, beginning her formal studies within the magical sewing workshop. This is a moving story about a group of children who, despite stumbling head-on into despair, decide to join hands to achieve hope.
