We're just a few days away from the release of the new version of
HoYoverse's gacha-style video game
Zenless Zone Zero. As the Chinese company typically does, this one features a wealth of new content for all players. From new characters, missions, and events, version 2.1 is eagerly awaited by fans. This is especially true given that it will focus on summer, with special skins for the new characters
Yuzuha and
Alice, as well as for the protagonists Wise and Belle.
Version 2.1 will expand the main story and add two new zones to Zenless Zone Zero.
The new version of
Zenless Zone Zero will be called "The Coming Tide Break" and will arrive in the game on July 16th. One of the most important points it will bring is the continuation of the main story with Chapter 2 of Season 2. This will focus on the Terror Shack affiliation and two new areas, Sailumen Bay and Dream Resort. Here, players will be able to discover the secrets hidden beneath the land's summer waves.
Sailumen Bay, located beneath the Failumen Heights, will be the central setting for the plot of Chapter 2. There, Porcelumex launches an exhaustive security inspection to appease the conflict caused by the Exacerbation Assembly. This first-class Inspection Team includes Alice Thymefield, a descendant of the prestigious Thymefield family, who later joins the Dread Lodge.
Meanwhile, Summer Story takes place at the
Ensueño resort, which features sandy beaches, coconut trees waving in the wind, and a lively holiday atmosphere perfect for enjoying summer activities and mysterious stories.
Two new agents arrive at Zenless Zone Zero: Ukinami Yuzuha and Alice Thymefield
Ukinami Yuzuha
Ukinami Yuzuha is a cunning S-Grade Auxiliary Physics Agent who summons her tanuki companion Kama to throw Candy Bombs at enemies and increase the Active Agents' Anomaly stacking rate. Her signature ability, Sweet Scare, adapts to the Active Agent's attribute with a variety of flavors, significantly increasing the Anomaly stacking rate while simultaneously triggering a Replica.
Alice Thymefield
Alice Thymefield, meanwhile, is the newest member of the Dread Lodge, a Grade S anomalous physical agent and noble heiress who utilizes refined swordsmanship techniques to maneuver on the battlefield and accumulate sword tag. By consuming sword tag, Alice deals devastating blows to the enemy and increases her dash and malfunction damage.
Ukinami Yuzuha will arrive in the first part of
Zenless Zone Zero's 2.1 release, but she won't be alone.
Hoshimi Miyabi, an S-grade icy anomalous agent, will be accompanying her with his banner.
Alice Thymefield will arrive in the second part of the release, and in this case, the one who will have her rerun banner alongside her is
Tsukishiro Yanagi, an S-grade electric anomalous agent.
Miss Esme is the new Bangbú in this version.
But in addition to the aforementioned new girls, there's the arrival of a new Bang-o-Boo.
Miss Esme is an elegant S-rank Bang-o-Boo who flies alongside agents while invoking bonuses that restore Energy or health. Players can also choose this new Bang-o-Boo on their corresponding banners to further boost their teams.
New events in Zenless Zone Zero version 2.1
Additionally, this new version of
Zenless Zone Zero will bring with it a host of new events. The once-pristine Dream Resort is now a decaying paradise awaiting restoration, and players will join the Horror Shack to bring it back to life through a series of aquatic assignments. Players can enjoy sailing and navigating obstacles with bonuses or hop aboard a boat to take on exciting deep-sea shooting challenges during scenic tours of the island. Improved fishing challenges now offer wider waterways, new marine species, and optimized interactions with less load, allowing for a relaxed and varied gameplay experience.
The new bang-bu combat strategy event "
Ehn na! The Legend of Chess" will also be added, featuring a PvP competition mode. Simulated Combat Training will also be updated with a new scoring system that rewards skill mastery for those who enjoy challenging combat.

And in addition to all the new content coming with this version of
