Before making it big with 'Detective Conan', Gosho Aoyama He began to be known as a mangaka with 'Yaiba', a story that ended up accumulating 24 volumes and followed the adventures of a young samurai named Yaiba Kurogane.

'Yaiba' at one point had its own 52-episode anime (which we were able to see on Spanish television), but 30 years later it is preparing its return with a new series.

A few months ago it was confirmed that the remake of 'Yaiba' is underway by Wit Studio, the studio behind 'Ranking of Kings' and 'Spy x Family'. Wit is also getting a taste for remakes, as among other projects he is also in charge of the remake of 'The One Piece' for Netflix.

We already saw an illustration made by Aoyama himself to commemorate the production, and now the remake of 'Yaiba' has also revealed its very first trailer. For now, the first glimpses are quite promising, with the anime maintaining Aoyama's style, promising lots of action, and leaving us with some sequences that look very good.

Wit Studio has also made two star signings for the new 'Yaiba' anime: Takahiro Hasuithe director of 'Mob Psycho 100', and Yoshimichi Kamedacharacter designer on the same series. So, at least in terms of animation, 'Yaiba' promises to be a hit.

The bad news is that For now we don't have a specific release date.. Wit is beginning to be increasingly burdened with large projects, but everything seems to indicate that 'Yaiba' will be released sometime in 2025.
