The theory would also serve to explain why this demon hunter is so powerful.

This Chainsaw Man Theory Suggests a Surprising Connection Between Yoshida and the Demon of Age
Hirofumi Yoshida could have an unexpected connection with this primal demon

Chainsaw Man is one of the most popular and surprising shonen of recent years. Its cast of main characters has managed to carve out a niche for itself in the genre and the constant script twists that are occurring in the most recent chapters of the manga have once again shown us how unpredictable this work can be.

Since his debut in the International Assassins arc, Hirofumi Yoshida has been widely regarded as one of the most enigmatic characters in all of manga. His past remains a complete mystery and his ambiguous objectives have caused him to be the protagonist of various fan theories. One of the most recent links Yoshida to the Demon of Age, and would help explain why this young demon hunter is so powerful.

The following lines include spoilers from the Chainsaw Man manga.

Was Yoshida trapped in the world of senescence before Denji and Yoru?

The Reddit user MirciuL developed a new and curious theory about Hirofumi Yoshida. According to comments in your post, an image that decorates volume 17 The manga would have revealed to us in a subtle way that Yoshida would have been trapped in the world created by this primal demon and that, somehow, managed to get out alive.

In the image we can see Yoshida tired and crestfallen in a forest very similar to the one Yoru and Denji find in chapters 180 and 181 of the manga. MirciuL suggests that this image was not placed by pure chance and reminds that Yoshida has extensive knowledge related to demons and is, by far, one of the most intelligent characters by Chainsaw Man.

MirciuL's post did not go unnoticed among Chainsaw Man fans. Some users fueled this theory even more by remembering that the Demon of Old Age congratulated Yoshida when he used the powers of the Octopus Demon to temporarily stop his adversary. It is also noted that he could be the person the man who appears in chapter 180 was referring to. The latter leaves open the possibility that Yoshida may have been honing his skills for years in those forests before escaping, which would explain why he is so powerful despite his young age.

If this theory were true, some fans would see this mysterious young man with different eyes, since he would have achieved an achievement that currently seems impossible for Yoruwho had no choice but to recognize his weakness before the Demon of Old Age.
