These are the arcs that adapt the first 12 episodes of the anime

2024 was a year full of big news for the world of Japanese animation. One of the most interesting that the Netflix platform has received exclusively has been The Blue Boxthe ambitious adaptation of the manga created by Kouji Miura and one of the highest-rated romance anime of recent months.
The Blue Box has excellent animation by the veteran team at Telecom Animation Film, and its main characters have needed very few episodes to win the affection of viewers. Its story, which starts from a simple premise that is not far from what is usually seen in the genre, has been extended through several plot arcs that have contributed depth and maturity to its protagonists.
With the first chapters of the second part of the first season already on broadcastin this article we have decided to look back and remember the story arcs that have been adapted in the first part, which covered the first 12 episodes of the series.

Regular Matches Arc (Episodes 1, 2 and part of 3)
Taiki watching Chinatsu, the girl he is in love with
This arc introduces viewers to the story and tells us Taiki Inomata’s daily lifea young badminton player who has been secretly in love with Chinatsu Kanoa passionate basketball player with whom she meets every morning in training.
The good relationship between Taiki and Chinatsu’s mothers will make the young woman live in our protagonist’s house while his family is abroad. Taiki will try to take advantage of this new opportunity to get closer to Chinatsu, but he will have to fight against his own shyness while trying to not to hinder the coexistence between both.
The arc covers the first 3 episodes of the anime and introduces such important characters as Kyo Kasahara and Hina ChonoTaiki’s best friend. It also makes its debut Kengo Haryuthe first great rival that our protagonist will have in his badminton tournaments.
Regional Preliminaries Arc (Episodes 3, 4 and part of 5)
These episodes have several elements typical of spokon and in them we see the fruits of the training that our protagonist has carried out. Taiki participates in the first badminton tournament relevant to the plot and, to his surprise, will have Kengo Haryu as a teammatehis biggest rival at that time.
These matches will help Taiki get to know Hary better, letting him know that he has no romantic feelings for Chinatsu. For his part, Kengo Haryu will positively value Taiki’s enthusiasm and will become your new advisor.
Prefectural Ranking Arc (Episodes 5, 6, 7 and 8)
Shuji Yusa, our protagonist’s biggest rival and one of the stars of Sajikawa’s team
The Prefectural Ranking arc begins just after the date at the aquarium between Chinatsu and Taiki, which was an injection of energy for our protagonist. On the other hand, Taiki and Haryu prepare to a new badminton tournament in which they will have to face the stars of Sajikawa High School.
Hina Chono accidentally discovers that Chinatsu has gone to live at Taiki’s house, which does not go unnoticed by your feelings. On the other hand, Taiki and Haryu are surpassed by the talent of Sajikawa’s team and suffer a bitter defeat.
Blooming Romance Arc (Episodes 9 and 10)
With summer approaching, Taiki must prepare for upcoming exams while continuing his demanding training. This stressful situation ends weakening your defenses.
Taiki will be taken care of by Chinatsu Kano, which will lead him to think that the girl has romantic feelings for him. However, Chinatsu will put distance between both. Furthermore, Hina will begin to develop romantic feelings towards our protagonist.
Fireworks Festival Arc (Episodes 11 and 12)
This arc enhances the love triangle between Hina, Taiki and Chinatsu
Discouraged by the decision Chinatsu has made, our protagonist will consider the possibility of throw in the towel and he will keep his distance from the young basketball player, worsening the situation between them. In addition, the boy will spend his time with his friends Kyo and Hina, who is somewhat happier than usual.
Taiki will accept Hina’s invitation to go to the fireworks festival together, not knowing that this event is a lot. more important to Hina than he thinks.
