This year in Science SARU They've been busy, because they just released 'Scott Pilgrim Takes the Leap' on Netflix and they got into preparing 'Dandadan', which is one of the most anticipated anime series of the year. And in between, they also got 'The Colors Within' ('Kimi no Iro')the new movie of Naoko Yamada which was already seen in Annecy and has just been released in Japan.
The colors of the heart
'The Colors Within' is the story of Totsukoa teenager who can see people's hearts as colors. Colors depend on each person's nature and mood, and in order not to “darken” and cloud them, Totsuko always treads carefully so that everyone around her has bright colors. One day she meets a boy and a girl with very special colors and the three of them form a band.
Select Vision has confirmed who has licensed 'The Colors Within' for distribution in Spain. There is still no release date for its theatrical release, but it has already been confirmed that It will be shown at the Sitges Film Festival this year.
The anime film is directed by Naoko Yamadathe director of 'A Silent Voice' and 'Liz and the Blue Bird', and an original script by Reiko Yoshida, screenwriter of 'Love is in the Water' and 'Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction'. The soundtrack is by Kensuke Ushiowho has already composed for several of Yamada's films and for a number of anime such as 'Chainsaw Man' and 'Devilman Crybaby'.
For now we are left with a “coming soon” for the arrival in theaters of 'The Colors Within'. Although being Selecta Visión, what we have practically assured is that the anime film will arrive both with Spanish dubbing and in its original version.
At Annecy it was nominated for Best Film at the Animation Film Festival and in Japan it has been well received. Now we have to keep an eye on the final release date if we don't have the chance to see it at Sitges.
