This Spy x Family revelation seems to create a connection between Anya and another of the series’ characters
It is well known that the story of Spy x Family revolves around a plot of mysteries and secrets that hide both the main characters, the members of the Forger Family, as well as several other individuals with whom they relate, such as Donovan Desmond and the members of his family.
As far as the latter is concerned, since the beginning of the series it has been Loid Forger’s main objective in his work as an agent and his current mission, Operation Strix, which has led him to try to find out information about himwhich he has achieved now that Donovan’s wife, Melinda, is his patient at the hospital where he works.
It should be noted, in fact, that, after his first therapy session, Melinda has revealed information regarding her husband which has not only caused a great impact on Loid and the readers, but has also raised doubts regarding the past of the father of the Desmond family and has even given rise to speculation regarding a possible connection between Donovan and little Anya.

Donovan Desmond hides a big secret that seems to connect him with Anya and her origins
Melinda Desmond has revealed a big secret about her husband that could link him to Anya Forger
In the most recent chapters of the Spy x Family manga, we saw how, after their meeting at the Winter Sheep Festival, Yor has suggested to Melinda that she visit Loid at the hospital where he works, since he, due to his employment as a psychiatrist, may help you learn to deal with and improve the conflicts you have with your family.
It is in chapter #109 where Loid and Melinda interact for the first timewhen she attends her first therapy session with Forger. While they start a conversation, Loid assures her that she can trust him and tell him whatever is happening to her, since his intention is to help her, to which Melinda declares something quite crazy: she states that The one he lives with is not Donovan but an alien who has replaced him..
This chapter ends with this confession from Melinda, and it is in the following chapter, #110, where she expands and explains the reasons why she believes that her husband has been replaced by an alien. Although Melinda’s words seem to make no sense, it is the revelation she makes later that gives rise to speculation regarding Anya’s origin and the connection she could have with Donovan, since she reveals that her husband is a telepath and can read people’s minds.
If what Melinda says is true and her husband really has the ability to read minds, like Anya, there is a chance that this has also been the subject of the same experiments that were performed on Anya and that they gave him this ability, therefore creating a kind of connection between the two.
This theory might make a lot of sense, considering that Very little is known about Anya’s past and Donovan’s life.; In addition, the fact that Donovan is a telepath would explain why his son Demetrius always has a clear and blank mind, which prevented Anya from being able to read his thoughts in the past.
The end of chapter #110 shows Loid returning home and Anya reading her thoughts, learning about Melinda’s confession and showing great surprise upon learning that none other than her adoptive father’s greatest enemy could have the same ability as her.
For now, we have to wait for the story to continue advancing to be able to discover if Donovan really is a telepath as his wife claims, and, if he is, to know which one he is. the possible connection that the father of the Desmond family could have with little Anya because of his powers
