1 Batman, Caped CrusaderAugust 1 on Prime Video
This summer marks the release of the highly anticipated Batman, Caped Crusaderwhich revisits the origins of the Dark Knight with unprecedented depth. After a well-received first season in June 2024, this new installment continues to follow Gawain's journey as he gets closer to his dream of becoming the world's best golfer. 4 Rick and Morty, the animeAugust 15 on Max
Scheduled for August 15, 2024 on Adult Swim and Max, Rick and Morty, the anime offers a unique Japanese take on the adventures of the famous duo. Directed by Takashi Sano, the director of Tower of Godthis anime moves away from traditional episodes to explore new universes and concepts while retaining the irreverent humor of the original series.
The ten-episode adaptation promises to be a true revival for fans, with distinct visuals and storytelling that pushes the series' boundaries in unexpected directions.
5 Terminator ZeroAugust 29 on Netflix
Terminator Zero revisits the popular franchise in a new animated format. Set in 1997, the story follows Malcolm Lee, a Japanese computer scientist who develops Kokoro, an AI system designed to counter Skynet. As “Judgment Day” approaches, Malcolm and his three children are hunted by a robot from the future.
Warrior Eiko is sent from 2022, where a war between humans and machines is raging, to protect them and change the course of history. The series is produced by Skydance and Japanese animation studio Production IG (Attack on Titanseason 1) and directed by Masashi Kudo, promising a neat visual and narrative quality.
