A press release reported the production of a new original anime titled “Food for the Soul (Hibi wa Sugiredo Meshi Umashi)”. The statement listed that The premiere is scheduled for sometime in 2025 in Japan.and lists the production team that includes the author and the original team of the anime “Non Non Biyori“.
Additionally, Quroauthor of the “Asteroid in Love“, will be in charge of the manga adaptation of this project. Serialization will begin through the service Alive Plus from the publisher Kadokawa in 2025, and the author shared an illustration to celebrate the announcement:

- Shinya Kawatsura (Ao no Exorcist, Kokoro Connect, Non Non Biyori) and Tooru Shunsui (Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Part 2, Go-toubun no Hanayome Movie) are in charge of directing the anime in the studios PAWORKS.
- Yoshihiro Hiki (Akiba Meido Sensou) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
- Hajime Mitsuda (Tabi Hani, Mahou Shoujo Magical Destroyers, Kiratto Pri☆Chan) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
- Hiromi Mizutani (Kokoro Connect, Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun, Non Non Biyori) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.
