The infernal duo is expected for its 8th season, but first stops off in the land of the rising sun: Rick and Morty is indeed getting a little anime makeover, under the leadership of director Takashi Sano, who also took charge of the adaptation of Tower of GodThe creator is already an expert on the Adult Swim series, having directed two short films for it, Rick and Morty vs. Genocider And Summer Meets God.
The anime got off to a flying start with a first episode filled with references to pop culture and cinema – including the great classic Citizen Kane. Rick rests between the multiverses, Morty falls in love with a mysterious stranger and makes friends with Macho Frank: the spectators will not be disoriented in the middle of the always crazy stories that await them, and which could very well have repercussions on the main plot. When is the next episode of Rick and Morty: The Anime ?
Episode 2 of Rick and Morty: The Anime will be released on August 23, 2024 at 9 a.m. on Max in France.
In total, the series will have ten episodes of around thirty minutes. They will be broadcast weekly on the new streaming platform in France, one day after a broadcast on the Adult Swim channel for English-speaking countries.
For the languages, Max is currently content with a French version with French and English subtitles. But it is not excluded that a Japanese version with French subtitles will be released in the coming days: scheduled for August 17 for other countries, it is possible that France will also be entitled to it, although no confirmation has been made at this stage.
