Hololive Production recently announced that Watson Ameliaa member of the first generation of Hololive English, will conclude all its channel activities on September 30, 2024. This includes regular streaming on platforms such as YouTube, social media presence, participation in live events and the launch of new merchandise.
Since her debut in 2020 as part of the founding generation of Hololive English, known as Hololive English -Myth-, Watson Amelia has been a pillar within the international VTuber community. Her unique content and involvement in activities beyond livestreaming have been key in expanding VTuber culture outside of Japan. Even though her channel will be inactive, Hololive confirmed that Amelia will continue to be affiliated with the agency, leaving open the possibility of future appearances at events or special collaborations.
Merchandise already on sale will continue to be sold, and any future Watson Amelia activities will be announced via Hololive’s official social media channels. The agency also asked fans to refrain from contacting the other talents regarding this announcement and deeply appreciated all the support received.

I'm not quite sure what to say… I thought I could keep my composure during the announcement, try to stay positive, but just remember all the wonderful times we've had… I'm sorry for the bad timing, I wish I could have told you sooner or maybe my words weren't the best… it's uncharted territory, so I hope the official statement helps clear things up: I'm very grateful to be a part of Hololive history! Remember to rest if you can and drink water. Thank you!».
Amelia Watson fans have taken to social media to express their gratitude and share their thoughts on this important announcement:
- «Even though your streaming activities are over, does that mean you'll still be participating in live videos or events? It's a rare occurrence, so it'll be interesting to see what happens in the future.».

This announcement has left fans divided between sadness at the conclusion of her regular streams and relief that Amelia isn’t completely “graduating” from Hololive. Although her involvement in streaming will be coming to an end, her continued involvement with the agency offers hope that she may still be seen in future special events or major projects.
