The popular Japanese cosplayer known as “@SakuraVictoria_” surprised his followers at the end of last month by sharing an emotional message on Twitter celebrating the acquisition of a Suzuki TL1000R motorcycle. His post said:
- «Aaah… I explain that sometimes I write 'TL-kun' in my tweets… I'm not referring to the 'timeline', but to my dear TL1000R. It is because of this motorcycle that I wanted to get my large motorcycle license. For 15 years I dreamed of having her, and I can finally say that she is with me! I'm so happy, so happy…!».
However, what seemed like a celebration quickly turned into a scandal when One user noted that the motorcycle exactly matched the description and license plate of one that had recently been stolen.. The post said:
- «Please, I need your help. My friend's motorcycle was stolen (@nyankoya85). It is a very important vehicle for her. The license plate is Toyohashi-ku 291!».
This triggered a wave of comments on social media, and finally, @SakuraVictoria_ surrendered to the police on January 1, 2025. The investigation revealed a shocking fact: the person behind the cosplay was actually a 39-year-old man from Hamamatsu. According to police reports:
- «The suspect, a man who claimed to be a company employee, was arrested on suspicion of stealing a motorcycle from a residential parking lot in Shinshiro, Aichi, around December 30, 2024. The vehicle is valued at approximately 700,000 yen. During interrogation, he admitted: 'It's true that I stole it. 'I'm very sorry for what I did.' The methods and motives behind the robbery are now being investigated.».
