A few months ago, Oliver and Benji They returned to TV for a limited time. But if we missed the live broadcast, we can now watch one of the key animes of our childhood again (and which left more than one of us wanting to become a professional footballer), because ‘Champions’ is now available in full streaming.
To spend a few afternoons
The original anime of ‘Captain Tsubasa’ arrived in Spain with the name ‘Champions‘… or simply, as ‘Oliver and Benji’. This first anime to adapt Yoichi Takahashi’s manga aired in Japan between 1983 and 1986, and ended up having 128 episodes.
If we want to relive this first golden age of ‘Champions‘, we now have this first series in full on Amazon Prime Video. It arrives remastered and only with dubbing in Spanishalthough perhaps at some point we will also have the original Japanese version available.
Starting in 1994, Takahashi began working on the sequels, and the anime series ‘Champions to the World Cup’ premiered back in 2002 (available right now on atresplayer).
So now we would have a lot of the anime from ‘Champions‘ in full streaming. And if we want to relive one of the first anime series that entered Spain like a hurricane (and we have plenty of time to burn with the games that distort space/time), we can now get on board A definitive marathon with the beginnings of Oliver and Benji as footballers.
