Announced this summer (read the news), the new animated adaptation from manga Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi will arrive in France on Netflix from the October 5that the same time as in Japan!

Let's remember that this new series features the animation studio MAPPA, the director Kônosuke Uda, the screenplay Kimiko Ueno, the character design Hiromi Taniguchi, and the music Kaoru Wada. And on the voice casting side, a large majority of the voice actors from the first anime (1989-1992) will reprise their roles, with the exception of some characters like Genma Saotome and Soun Tendô who will now be played by Chô and Akio Ôtsuka.

The anime will be available in VOSTFR but also in VF, a first French trailer having been unveiled and being visible below.

A cult comedy that quickly brings together colorful characters, improbable martial arts, the absurd and wacky humor typical of Rumiko Takahashi (Urusei Yatsura/Lamu, Maison Ikkoku/Juliette je t'aime, InuYasha…) and the well-measured little moments of romance, the original manga is available in France from Glénat editions, and was in Japan an emblematic series of the Shônen Sunday magazine from Shôgakukan editions during its publication between 1987 and 1996.

Overall Synopsis of Ranma 1/2:

Akane Tendo meets her new fiancé, Ranma Saotome, a martial arts prodigy who has a special characteristic: he transforms into a girl when he comes into contact with cold water.
