The series is set in 2022, while flashing back to 1997 – the year of Judgment Day, as detailed in the second Terminator installment. The show’s August 29 release date is a thoughtful nod to the fictional nuclear annihilation event.

A new thrilling adventure

“New faces, same threat” could be the subtitle of this series. The focus is on two new characters, Eiko and scientist Malcom Lee, “hunted by a Terminator”. The plot is set up from the first images revealed by Netflix: we are plunged into the heart of a nightmarish version of 2022, before going back in time.
