For many students, vacations are a great time to earn money. For Laura Perronthe job she landed at Forge Park in Conches-en-Ouche (Eure) is an excellent springboard for the continuation of her studies and her future profession. At 21, Laura is not at her first experience.

Since the age of 18, she has been doing replacements in supermarkets. “I wasn't at the checkout, I need to move, to be physical,” explains the woman who therefore preferred to stock the shelves.

Laura is starting her 5th year of study, three years (bachelor's degree) in STAPS (Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities), followed by a master's degree in MEEF (Teaching, Education and Training Professions) at the INSPE (National Higher Institute of Teaching and Education) in Rouen to become a PE teacher. She has chosen to join the second level of National Education, middle school or high school, as soon as she has her diploma in her pocket, that is to say at the end of this school year.

Sporty, she plays handball in a club at the Handball club Vallée d'Avre (28). She got the opportunity to get the job at the Parc de la Forge from her boyfriend Hugo, also a student at the INSPE in Rouen who is in charge of the programming in July. Her goal is to test herself with an audience she doesn't know, but also to make suggestions for sports activities.

A sports instructor, she offers activities every day and this job brings her closer to her future career. “It allows me to work on games and develop my communication skills. The proposal from the city of Conches for this job is really an opportunity for me. The city also offered me a one-week contract to play the role of Atsem in a nursery school, another experience”. In her future job, she will have to speak in front of around thirty students, there is the relationship with other colleagues and parents, hence the importance of testing herself in public. Very shy when she was younger, she now loves relationships, which confirms her in her professional choice.

The themes of the sports and recreational activities that will be developed at the Parc de la Forge will be based on the existing equipment, but Laura intends to add her personal touch by creating treasure hunts with QR codes. The public, which is larger during the week, is mainly made up of people from the Paris region or Conchois who are discovering the existence of this site. “I know that the city created these summer jobs to help locals discover the little-known site. They are pleasantly surprised to discover that everything is free, there are ponds behind, tennis courts, mini-golf, giant chess, the possibility of having a picnic and all the possibilities that this place offers,” explains the young woman.

Laura Perron is dynamic, jovial and spontaneous, everything you need to liven up and make the Parc de la Forge enjoyable during the month of August.

Parc de la Forge, open Wednesday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free admission. Info on Intramuros or on www.conchesenouche.fr.
