The official website for the anime adaptation of the manga Dorohedorofrom the author Q Hayashidaconfirmed that the project will premiere its second season during 2025. In addition, under the phrase “Currently in chaos”, a second promotional image was presented that includes part of the storyboard of the new installment. On the other hand, the return of Yuichiro Hayashi as director in the studio MAPPA. The announcement coincides with the fifth anniversary of the first season, released in 2020.

- Wataru Takagi as Kaimanrecognized for playing Okuyasu Nijimura in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.
- Queen Kondo in the role of Nikaidowho was also the voice of Ruka Sarashina in Rent-a-Girlfriend.
Other actors are expected to continue in their roles, although more information will be revealed in future updates.

The original manga began in 2000 in the magazine Monthly Ikki by Shogakukan and, after several editorial changes, concluded in 2018 with 167 chapters collected in 23 volumes. Its previous animated adaptation consisted of 12 episodes that debuted in 2020 and arrived on Netflix internationally.
Synopsis of Dorohedoro
The story revolves around Kaiman, a man with a reptile head and amnesia caused by a sorcerer’s magic. Together with his ally Nikaidō, he travels through a dark world in search of answers about his true identity. Between brutal combat, twisted humor and decadent settings, a conflict unravels between humans and practitioners of magical arts who inhabit a place known as “Hole.”
