This message was shared shortly after the production of a second season for the anime adaptation of “Grand Blue” was announced, another of Inoue's notable works, which has also gained a large fan base. “Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts,” published between January 2007 and March 2015, follows the life of Akihisa Yoshii, a student at Fumizuki Academy, where students are divided into classes based on their results on the entrance exams.
The higher classes receive better facilities and benefits, while class F, the worst in school, has barely any resources. Outraged by this situation, Akihisa and his companions decide to fight against the upper classes to obtain respect and better conditions. The franchise received an anime adaptation produced by Silver Link, which consisted of a 13-episode series broadcast from January to March 2010, followed by a two-episode OVA in February 2011.
The second season aired from July to September 2011. In addition to the anime, the franchise had three manga adaptations published through the publisher Kadokawa, as well as a video game for the PlayStation Portable in December 2012.
