In the first days of the year 2025, a personal blog went viral on Japanese forums by addressing an extremely sensitive topic: accusations of domestic violence, child abduction, and legal conflicts in the context of a family dispute. The blog, supposedly written by a man who identifies himself as a graphic designer and husband of voice actress Ayumi Tsunematsu (恒松あゆみ), contains details that have sparked fierce debate in the online community.

In the publication, the author describes a scenario of extreme conflict within his family, which includes allegations of physical violence, threats and the alleged kidnapping of his children in August 2023. According to the story, this incident led him to file legal claims against his wife, who is recognized for her roles in the world of Japanese dubbing, including roles in series such as “Mobile Suit Gundam 00” (where she played Marina Ismail) and “The Tatami Galaxy“.

The man claims his wife physically assaulted him, prevented him from leaving their home and eventually took the couple's two children, both child actors. He also mentions having faced a series of false accusations of domestic violence, which, according to him, were used to justify a protection order against him, although he assures that these have already been dismissed. In the blog, the graphic designer expresses his intention to continue the legal fight, stating that this conflict is part of a broader social problem related to the parental custody system in Japanwhich grants exclusive rights to one parent rather than promoting shared custody.

In his post, he wrote:

  • «Next year (2026) joint custody will be implemented in Japan. I hope that this case serves to highlight the injustices of a system that has generated tragedies under the exclusive custody regime.».

The blog quickly became a topic of discussion on forums such as 5ch and Twitter. However, opinions are divided. Some users expressed their empathy towards the alleged designer, while others questioned his credibility and the way he decided to expose these family matters on the internet. Among the notable comments, the following was mentioned:

  • «If he really is her husband, why hasn't he shown proof of their relationship? Without evidence, this sounds like anyone could be posting these accusations.».
  • «It seems like this guy is using children as a weapon. If you have something to say, let it be resolved in court, not on a public blog».
  • «The custody system in Japan is a real problem, but I doubt this case is a perfect example to show it. This all seems very one-sided.».
  • «It's ironic that you talk about protecting your children while making public these things that are clearly going to affect them in the future.».
  • «Are you trying to resolve this in court or are you just trying to get public attention? Offering 'paid articles' to share information does not inspire trust».
  • «This is a disaster, but the kids are the ones who really lose out here».

Others pointed out inconsistencies in the blog posts, since recent photos have been shared on Ayumi Tsunematsu's social networks in which she appears happy with her children, participating in family celebrations. This has raised doubts about the narrative presented by the blog's author.

Ayumi Tsunematsu, the voice actress mentioned in the blog, is known for an ever-developing career in the Japanese entertainment industry. Although her most notable role is that of Marina Ismail in “Mobile Suit Gundam 00”, she has also participated in other projects such as “The Tatami Galaxy” and recently had a brief appearance in “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury”. Her public image, always associated with calm and maternally affable characters, contrasts with the serious accusations made against her.

In an unexpected twist, the blog author included in his post a screenshot of a female anime character, Marina Ismail, accompanying his accusations. This was harshly criticized by many users on the forums, who pointed out that such images made the content seem unserious.

  • «Why include screenshots from an anime in something so serious? This only makes the post less serious.».
  • «This seems more like a strategy to attract anime fans than a real attempt to solve the problem.».
  • «They may both be partly to blame, but this man is clearly looking to gain public sympathy, which is a bad strategy if you're facing a legal case.».
  • «The kids are the real losers here. No matter who tells the truth, these kinds of disputes always leave scars.».

The case is far from resolved and raises important legal and ethical questions. On the one hand, the use of public platforms to air private disputes is noted, which can complicate legal procedures. On the other hand, the lack of response from the authorities and the entertainment industry, which until now has remained silent regarding the accusations made towards a public figure like Ayumi Tsunematsu, is also questioned.
