What is a Light Anime?
DNP promotes the concept of Light Anime with the intention of generating animations more economically and quickly than traditional anime production. Through its Balloon label, the company plans to release four new titles during fiscal year 2026, with the vision of consolidating a workflow that allows ten or more projects to be developed each year by 2028.
With this new project, You don't know GUNMA yet. continues to expand its presence in the world of anime, bringing its unique humor to new audiences, as fans eagerly await the premiere of this Reiwa version in January 2026.

You Don't Know Gunma Yet has the following description:
The comedy manga centers on Nori Kamitsuki, who moves from Chiba Prefecture to a fictional version of Gunma Prefecture, northwest of Tokyo, and the story focuses on Gunma culture. Before moving, Kamitsuki only knew of the prefecture's fearsome reputation on the internet. Upon arriving, he soon comes into contact with people who have a great love for Gunma culture.
