Born blind, Kunon aspires to become the first person able to use water magic to create new, functioning eyes. After only five months of study, he has already surpassed his master's and continues to develop his talents. Not only does his magic allow him to perceive colors, but he can also use it to craft practical objects—even summon an entire cat!

His skill and ingenuity quickly attract the attention of the court, earning him a place as a disciple of the kingdom's most powerful magician. But is his ultimate goal truly achievable?

The series is directed by Hideaki Oba at the animation studio PLATINUMVISION. Yuki Enatsu is writing the story, while Yoko Sato and Toshimitsu Kobayashi are credited for character design. The music is composed by Shunsuke Takizawa. Saori Hayami voices Kunon Glion, and Maaya Uchida plays Iko Round.

This anime is adapted from the light novel Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru, written by Umikaze Minamino and illustrated by Laruha, published since March 2022 in Japan by the publisher KADOKAWA.
