The long-awaited spiritual successor to Senki Zesshou Symphogear already has a name and release date! The anime "Ghost Concert: Missing Songs" is scheduled to premiere in 2026. The series promises to kick off a new "Song Battle Series" — a franchise centered on intense and emotional musical battles.
Produced by Ariya Entertainment, the project features all the music composed by the legendary group Elements Garden, responsible for hits like *Symphogear* and *BanG Dream!*. The animation will be handled by ENGI studio. Additionally, Norio Agematsu (creator of *Symphogear*) is the original writer. Masato Jinbo serves as the series director and composer, and Masaaki Uiigawa is the character designer.
Synopsis
The story takes place in 2045, in a world where singing is forbidden. In this setting, protagonist Seria Aiba (voiced by Mitoko Fujidera) was born with the gift of seeing and touching spirits. Her life changes when she is possessed by Cleopatra (played by Rina Hidaka), one of the legendary "Great Ghosts" released from the afterlife.
Therefore, the visual teaser highlights Seria and Cleopatra side by side. The first teaser PV, already available on YouTube, features the song "RES∞NALIST." It is described as a "song of possession and new beginnings," symbolizing the spirit of the series.
Additionally, the full video of the "Ghost Concert Project Presentation," which revealed the cast and crew, is now available in archive format. Finally, fans can check out all the details of the announcement.
