Synopsis of Black: Clover
Asta and Yuno were abandoned in the same church on the same day. Raised together since they were children, they knew the figure of the “Wizard King”, a title given to the strongest wizard in the kingdom. They both promised that they would compete with each other for the position of the next Wizard King.
However, as they grew older, the stark difference between them became evident. While Yuno is able to wield magic with amazing power and control, Asta cannot use magic at all. Therefore, he desperately tries to awaken his powers through rigorous physical training.
When they turn 15, Yuno receives a spectacular grimoire with a four-leaf clover. In contrast, Asta receives none. Shortly after, Yuno is attacked by a person named Lebuty, whose main goal is to take over his grimoire. Asta tries to confront him, but is easily overcome. However, when he hears Yuno's voice, he finds the strength to continue fighting. Moved by his emotions and determination, he unleashes a hidden power and receives a grimoire with a five-leaf clover: a “Black Clover.” This grants him the strength necessary to defeat Lebuty, marking a crucial point in the plot.
A few days later, the two friends leave for the outside world, both with the same goal: to become the next Wizard King!
