The Let This Grieving Soul Retire light novels are written by Tsukikage, illustrated by Chyko, and originally published on the self-publishing website Shôsetsuka ni Narô since January 2018 before being published in print by Micro Magazine under their GC Novels imprint since August 2018.
A manga adaptation, illustrated by Rai Hebino, was released in April 2019 on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website. The light novel is compiled into 12 volumes to date, with volume 13 scheduled for release on September 30, 2025, and the manga is compiled into 11 volumes as of April 25, 2025. Both works have never been published in France.
