Monogatari Off & Monster Season will have a new episode

The anime series Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season has surprised fans by announcing its return. Production of a new episode was confirmed through the series' official website. To commemorate this news, a special 56-second video and a visual image were presented to the public. More details will be revealed to the public in the coming months.

The production team of Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season will return in the new episode.

Franchise veteran Akiyuki Simbo will serve as main director, while Midori Yoshizawa will direct the new episode. Animation studio SHAFT will be in charge of animation production. Fuyashi Tou will return to write and supervise the scripts alongside Simbo. Akio Watanabe will also return as character designer and main animation director. Additionally, a music video has been released to promote the announcement of the new episode of Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season. It is worth noting that the Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season anime premiered in Japan on July 6, 2024. The series consisted of a total of 14 episodes and was streamed legally on the Crunchyroll platform.

Koyomi Araragi has left his village and his role as a supernatural expert behind when he goes to university, leaving Yotsugi Ononoki, a living doll, as his sister Tsukihi's protector and new expert in the occult. While helping the townspeople with paranormal problems, Yotsugi guides Nadeko Sengoku, who tries to overcome her supernatural past and pursue her dream of becoming a manga artist. To help her explore her creativity, Yotsugi convinces Nadeko to create four clones of herself, but they rebel and escape, causing chaos in the city. Forced to confront her own inner conflicts, Nadeko must capture them to come to terms with her identity.
