In order to continue promoting its film and also celebrate its success in Japan, the anime adaptation of Cool-kyou Shinja's manga, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, has presented a new promotional image for the film, titled Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved. The lovely new promotional image for the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid anime film features the characters Kobayashi-san and the dragon Kanna Kamui.

The acquisition aims to screen it in theaters in different territories around the world, so fans of the franchise will be able to enjoy this film on the big screen and see Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid in theaters. Although Crunchyroll's announcement generated huge anticipation among fans, no specific dates or territories have yet been confirmed for the film's release outside of Japan. Based on the manga by Cool-kyou Shinja, the anime Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid premiered in Japan on January 11, 2017. The series consisted of 2 seasons (25 episodes in total) and 2 OVAs. The animation studio Kyoto Animation was in charge of the animation production and the series was legally broadcast in Latin America through the Crunchyroll platform.
