The anime
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End has established itself as one of the most profound and beloved narrative series of recent years. Despite not winning at the
Anime Awards, the quality of its story and impressive animation make it the year of 2025 for many.
Recently, a series of images and posts have begun circulating on social media that demonstrate the great effort
Frieren's marketing team is making to maintain interest in the show, as we look forward to a second season.
Frieren travels throughout Japan: An advertising campaign with its own identity

The most recent posts show the protagonist,
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, posing in different train stations and iconic locations around
Japan, with promotional posters referencing her story or names related to the series.
One of the most talked-about trends has been the so-called "°°°°-dai station" ("-''''da''''i"), which appears to be inspired by the character
Aura and her famous scene in the anime. This has generated a sort of spontaneous fan rally searching for stations with similar names, with some even reporting that
Frieren herself has "been present" through illustrations or posters.

This strategy, which mixes humor, creativity and audience participation, has generated positive reactions and wide dissemination on networks such as
X (formerly
Twitter), where fans comment things like: "He's traveling more than me" or "Frieren has become a train otaku."
Between nostalgia and memes

This isn't the first time an anime series has used real-life locations to connect with its audience, but
Frieren's case stands out for its friendly and authentic tone. Instead of aggressive promotion, the franchise's marketing has focused on building a presence that seems born from its creators' own fandom. This includes details such as:
- Visits to stations whose names evoke scenes or keywords from the series.
- Photographs of Frieren figures in different regional contexts.
- Posts from official accounts that mimic the language and enthusiasm of fans.
- Adorable promotional designs that invite sharing rather than consumption.
Some even joke that the person in charge of these strategies could actually be a fan with access to the official account, given the fun and relatable way in which the content is handled.
The manga returns from its hiatus and the anime will premiere a second season.

Recently, the
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga went on indefinite hiatus due to health issues related to the author. After a long wait, a press release confirmed that the series will resume serialization in
Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine on July 2.
But that's not all, as the anime adaptation of the manga will have a second season scheduled to premiere in 2026. Therefore, the future of the franchise is quite positive, and we hope that its success will serve to boost the production of a third season.
Information about Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
Sousou no Frieren, also known as
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End in the West, is an adventure fantasy manga written by
Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by
Tsukasa Abe. It began serialization in
Shogakukan's
Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in April 2020. Currently,
Shogakukan has released 13 compiled volumes in total. The synopsis of the series is as follows:
During their decade-long quest to defeat the Demon King, the members of the hero's party—Himmel himself, the priest Heiter, the dwarven warrior Eisen, and the elven mage Frieren—forge bonds through adventures and battles. This creates precious, unforgettable memories for most of them.
However, the time Frieren spends with her comrades amounts to only a fraction of her life, which has lasted over a thousand years. When the group disbands after the victory, she returns to her "usual" routine of collecting spells across the continent. Due to her different sense of time, she doesn't seem to have strong feelings about her experiences.
As the years pass, Frieren comes to realize how his days in the hero group affected him. Witnessing the deaths of two of his former companions, Frieren begins to regret having taken their presence for granted. He vows to better understand humans and create true personal connections. Although the story of that memorable journey has long since ended, a new one is about to begin.
